Stop moaning. its all part of your experience and training. what if your next opponent has terrible body odour? it cant put you off if your used to bad smells.

people at my gym sometimes get annoyed by it, especially if someone farts, usually ends up being a big deal for a day or two but who cares? really everyone farts and sweats, and smells. get over it i say.

Most gyms smell like ****...you just gotta live with it. (And you might be thinking it's the people in you're gym but it could be the rancid smelling gloves that they wear) To be honest, as long as i'm training hard none of that seems to bother me. You ain't going to find a lot of boxing gyms that smell like roses and flowers... unless it's a boxercise cardio women's only bull**** gym.

just tough it out.

I'm guilty of farting during working out lol
when I start the warm up with the group I get way gassy I dunno why I don't wanna run all the way to the bathroom to fart so I discreetly fart lol.
My gym smells but when we're training I can't smell anything.

My gym has quite a large open space so does not smell of such things. They have a problem heating it when the temp gets to zero in winter because it use to be a small warehouse, I think. Opponents never got close enough to me for me to worry about their smell, lol. People who sweat fresh sweat won't stink, it is only the mother****ers who have stale sweat in unwashed clothes. I stay away from them cunts.

I know other people have their own way but I don't go to gym to socialise and this is one of many reasons. first them sweaty tramps will distract you from getting your head down and training hard, then they will be asking you for lifts and stinking out your car! Never talk to the bums in firts place and eliminate all problems and/or odours. Get you rhead down and train hard, and you won't have to talk to a smelly bum who can;t train himself so has to distract you from yours.

yeah i think people who arent washing their clothes between gym visits need to reevaluate their life. hygiene is a basic priority.

How gay is this thread. Yeh im all for rocking up to training fresh, hygiene good. But your going to stink when training everyone does.

If you think Pac man or De La Hoyas body odour or breathe aint gonna stink on saturday night then your fckn kidding.

Its a part of life. You shouldn't care much. Just care how the chicks outside the gym smell.

I don't have that problem. I tell them straight up! If it is a friend then you are not being a good mate if you don't tell them. Just say 'you fubnny ****er, didn't you wash this morning?' and then delete his number from your phone after texting him to do one! Only girls will have the problem of not telling their smelly mate they stink. If it is not a freind then just say, look mate you stink. It isn't that hard. Can't stand smelly ****ers. It IS poor hygeine, as fresh sweat doesn';t smell like a dead body. The people who smell like that are ALWASY the ones who wear same training gear everyday.

Well I always try to take the necessary precautions before going to the gym such as wearing clean gym clothes (socks, boxers, shirt, shorts etc) and I usually wash my armpits and apply some fresh antiperspirant/deodorant before heading out. However I can't deny that I do get stinky after a hard workout. I think everyone does to some degree. It's part of the gym life/experience.

I go home and take a shower straight away after my workout (my boxing gym doesn't have showers). And if someone wants me to give them a ride home, I open up my windows to get some fresh air in. Not much else you can do. I try my best though, what else can you do? I'm glad most people realize this.

^ yeah i can understand someone stinking up during workout but well after workout is really bad hygiene. my buddy does it, i usually tell him if he forgot to wipe his ass. it'll incline him to shower without being blunt about it.

I have never had this problem, i went to four different gyms over the course of my life, 1 boxing gym, 2 mma gyms and the boxing gym i am currently training at.

I mean, yeah the training equipment can stink, gloves and head gear. But the whole place smelling like ass? I have yet to see that.

Anyway, for the equipment stinking part, i use my own gloves/head gear. So i don't have to endure the smell of others.

This is getting disturbing, but for the 2nd time in ten minutes I do agree with you! The only thing that smells are people and used gloves which are there for tramps, and you don't need to get involved with either. However, the MMA gyms are full of fat bums who are not good enough for the bigtime of boxing. They train at a snails pace (just as they fight) for several hours and are unlikely to break a sweat!

not a weird thread at all. i feel you on this dawg. yes a stank ass smell is normal, i mean its a gym, it comes with it. but theres this 40-50 yr old woman that kicks the heavy bag n **** with her socks off and **** and dam. you can smell her from across the room. i feel like leaving once i see her. ***** stank it kinda distracts me. and if i fight and the dude im fightin smells like ****, id have a sense of urgency. get em out there quick.

It's bad enough that the other guy's sweat is landing on me when boxing or Muay Thai, but when you're rollin' on the mat, f**k no, I can't stand that sh*t.

I am more scared of a man's armpits on my face than the thought of passing out from a rear naked choke. I ain't jokin' either

My boxing gym smells pretty bad, not terrible smelling but not exactly roses. You get used to it pretty fast though and when you train you don't notice it. I think most boxing gyms do smell a little bit. If you go to a commercial gym though, those never smell because they constantly are disinfecting the equipment and cleaning the carpet etc killing the bacteria causing the smell.

Well tell the management that they need to clean the place up! Carpets in a gym? WTF. No wonder it smells. I have been to some pretty rundown hole in wall gyms and they do not stink nor should they. Open spaces rarely smell!

Unfortunately, the smell of decaying **** is the result of uncleaned *******s. Review your post-****ting wiping + washing please.
