Italian lightweight Emiliano Marsili writes today on his Facebook page that he is ill and hasn't been able to train. This is indeed bad news for someone in Italy who is about to fly to the United States for a world title fight in ten days given the problem with making weight, training and jetlag

Marsili´s  promoter, Christian Cherchi of  OPI 2000 confirms tonight that Marsili is unable to fight and is officially out of the fight against the very dangerous Dejan Zlaticanin.

Zlaticanin vs. Marsili was set for June 11 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.

BoxingScene.com spoke with Zlaticanin's promoter Lou DiBella, who confirmed that his boxer will still fight on the card against a new opponent "who is just as good if not better" for the vacant interim-WBC lightweight world championship. The opponent, once officially sanctioned and finalized, will be revealed tonight or tomorrow morning.

The Turning Stone show is a Showtime televised tripleheader, with the network debut of former WBO junior welterweight world champion Ruslan Provodnikov in the main event, and he faces John Molina Jr. There will also be a WBC super welterweight elimination bout between Demetrius Andrade and Willie Nelson.

Tickets for the live event, which is promoted by Banner Promotions, Inc., are priced at $85, $60, $45 and $35 and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Turning Stone Box Office, by calling 877.833.SHOW, or online at Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster,com).
