Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya is very excited over the finalization of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao. His company tried to put the fight together six years ago. The fight didn't happen when both sides failed to reach an agreement on the drug testing terms. This time everything was agreed upon and the fight is set for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with HBO and Showtime working together on the pay-per-view.

"It took six years. It is [taking place] very late, but both of them still have enough left to give us a big fight. Manny is still the same fighter who gives us plenty of action. He has lots of energy and he is never in a boring fight when he's in the ring. The same with Mayweather," De La Hoya said to Fox Deportes.

"I'm happy because finally it will happen and this will help boxing. Floyd Mayweather will have to move and box. He is very intelligent. He won't trade punches, because it would be very dangerous for Floyd to do so. For Manny, he would have to enter in great physical condition and throw a lot of punches from different angles, punish him on the arms. He must use the jabs, use his legs to go inside and outside and go side to side."
