Jose Reynoso, manager of WBC middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs), is not intimidated at all by a potential mandatory fight with WBA/IBO/IBF champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs).

Golovkin was ringside on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and watch Canelo pulled off a knockout of Amir Khan in the sixth round.

After that fight, Canelo called out Golovkin and said he was very motivated to face the hard-puncher in the near future.

Canelo's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, is going to speak with Golovkin's team to begin the fight negotiations.

"(Golovkin's trainer) Abel (Sanchez) has disrespected Team Canelo. We were in two or three training sessions together, and he always showed respect and now he's talked a lot in our direction, trying to force the fight - but we will do this fight when the time is ideal," Chepo told ESPN Deportes.

"We will speak with Oscar de la Hoya. We will have a meeting with him, we'll talk about the possibilities, we'll look at what's best and then negotiate with the opponent. For this kind of confrontation there are many things that have to be adjusted. It's just a matter of getting to talk. Right now we are just shooting in the air. Once we get closer to [making a deal for] a fight, the pros and cons will be discussed."

"[We know] Golovkin well. In 2011, Canelo had 40 rounds of sparring for six weeks of camp with Golovkin, in a camp coordinated by Abel Sanchez. We know [Golovkin] well. That five years ago, and time has passed, but do not tell us that Golovkin is a monster or a superman."
