WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford will be looking to put on a show this coming Saturday night.

Crawford is among the few names who are in the running to fight eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao in what might be his final career fight in the first quarter of 2016.

Crawford (26-0, 18 KOs) will defend his title against Dierry Jean (29-1, 20 KOs) at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

According to Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, Crawford, Viktor Postol, Kell Brook, Amir Khan, and the Tim Bradley-Brandon Rios winner are all under consideration.

If the fight is offered to him, Crawford will grab the opportunity with both hands.

“Who wouldn’t think about it? That’s the fight we want,” Crawford said to the Los Angeles Times. “Right now, we just want to focus on Jean, but [Pacquiao] … that’s a big opportunity for me, and if I was ever given that opportunity, I’d do my best to seize it.”

Arum told the paper that Pacquiao will watch Crawford's defense on Saturday night. The Filipino star will also watch Bradley's fight with Rios on November 7th. After that fight is over, Pacquiao will make his final decision on who he plans to fight next.

Pacquiao will make the final decision, but Arum says a good showing against Jean could certainly raise his standing among the candidates in the running.

“It’s all up to Manny,” Arum said. “I want to see a good performance from Crawford. He’s fighting a good fighter, and Manny is the kind of proud guy who looks for the toughest opponent. So if Crawford gives a great performance, it enhances him as a Manny opponent.”
