Argentine boxer Juan Carlos Reveco successfully defended his interim-flyweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA), by scoring a fifth round knockout of Armando Torres of Mexico. It was a stellar fight card which took place on Saturday night at the Vicente Polimeni Las Heras in Mendoza, Argentina.

By boxing smart, Reveco had better command of the ring and was able to his Torres in constant fashion. After the first two rounds, Reveco sent Torres to the canvas for the first time in the third. Going all out for a resounding victory, he dropped Torres again in the fifth and his corner decided to intervene to prevent further unnecessary punishment by calling the fight to a close at 2:28 in the round.

Reveco completed the second defense of his WBA flyweight title and improves his record to 24-1 with 14 knockouts, while Torres fell to 13-6 with eight knockouts.
