Unbeaten Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. is ready for the fight of his life when he faces Marvin Sonsona of the Philippines, also unbeaten, on February 27 for the vacant WBO super bantamweight title. Vazquez will have the home crowd behind him at the Rubén Rodriguez theater in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Vazquez is really pushing himself in camp to pull off the big win. He wants to get some revenge for countryman Jose Lopez, who Sonsona beat last year to capture the WBO super flyweight title.

"This opportunity is something that I'm taking with a lot of seriousness. I've been training since a week after my fight with (Genaro) Garcia.  I am going to take advantage of this opportunity to the max. I'm training with every vapor of myself to the point of exhaustion," Vazquez said to Primera Hora.

Vázquez is not exactly impressed with Sonsona and doesn't see the hype behind him.

"In the Philippines they were calling him the next (Manny) Pacquiao but he doesn't have anything that surprises me or makes me say that he's the last Coca-Cola in the desert," Vazquez said. "But I know that I have to be really prepared because he is a good boxer."
