Steven Luevano Could Get Juanma or Gamboa Next

BoxingScene.com was advised to not be surprised if WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano was matched against Juan Manuel Lopez or Yuriorkis Gamboa in the near future. Luevano defends his title against Bernabe Concepcion on the August 15 "Pinoy Power 2" pay-per-view. Top Rank promotes all three fighters.

Lopez, the WBO's super bantamweight champion, would move up to featherweight to make the fight. Gamboa is still listed as the WBA's interim champion at featherweight. Top Rank's plan is to build a future mega-bout between Lopez and Gamboa. Both are scheduled to return in the fall. Lopez seems to be the more natural choice between the two. Top Rank needs the right fight to introduce him to the new weight and what better way than a title bout. Luevano is not a big puncher. He does have the boxing ability to test Lopez's superstar worth.

I believe Leuvano has some unfinished buisiness with a guy by the name of Mario Santiago. He desrves a rematch.

For me, Juanma beats Luevano but Luevano it's a very good technician, who is a very good counter puncher and can make Juanma look bad because of his awkward style. I rather see Juanma fighting Caballero like everyone wants except him.
Will a non PR fighter EVER beat a PR fighter in your eyes????
Very Rarely unless that guy is named Cintron. Its funny they don't mention Cintron now that he beat Angulo. No one is as big as a Nationalistic fan as Ch@mp.

Juanma will probably duck him for another club fighter.
