BoxingScene.com has been advised that junior welterweight contender Demetrius Hopkins, the nephew of Bernard, was arrested in his Atlantic City hotel room and never made it to the weigh-in for Saturday's fight against Hector Munoz. The bout was scheduled to happen on the undercard to the Latin Fury 9 pay-per-view at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Hopkins was arrested on a warrant for an outstanding debt of child support. A member of his team told BoxingScene that Hopkins owes nearly $30,000, which was a few thousand more than his actual purse for the fight with Munoz.

Hopkins has not fought since 2008, which means he didn't bank a single purse this year.
