WBO light heavyweight champ Zsolt Erdei is now confirmed for a defense on October 22 in Halle against Frenchman Medhi Sahnoune. The two were supposed to fight in July, but Erdei was ill on the day of the fight and had to pull out.

The undercard to WBC supermiddle champ Markus Beyer´s defense against Omar Sheika on September 3 in Berlin features lightheavy Kai Kurzawa, heavyweight Rene Dettweiler, cruiser debutant Yoan Pablo Hernandez and French jr middle Christophe Canclaux. Canclaux has been sparring with Beyer and EBU welter champ Oktay Urkal and observers have said that he is doing well.

Hardpunching Dutch southpaw Hans Janssen takes on Belgian Najim Etthouali in a middleweight fight on Big Boss Boxing´s show in Rotterdam on September 10. Cruiser Don Diego Poeder headlines against a not yet named opponent. Heavyweight Richel Hersisia squares off against Belorussian Vitaly Shkraba.

Espabox writes that Spanish promoter Jose Luis Sousa is looking to match bantamweights Karim Quibir and Kiko Martinez on September 23 in Leon.

Universum and Spotlight Boxing have grown over the last few years - and Spotlight boss Dietmar Poszwa acknowledged in a statement to German paper Hamburger Abendblatt, that the companies are somewhat "oversized" and says that there will br several "eliminators" between stablemates where only the winner will stay with the companies. One takes place in Prague on September 20 when cruiserweights Enad Licina, 2-0, and Alex Kuziemski. 3-0, clash. According to the Abendblatt Universum and Spotlight, they plan to reduce their teams by as much as 15 boxers.

Norwegian jr welter Geir Inge Jorgensen, 21-0, is now confirmed on for SES / Viking Boxing Promotion´s show in Ilsenburg on September 17. Jorgensen takes on tricky Romanian veteran Marian Leondraliu. Geir Inge will train at Brian Mathiasen´s gym in Aarhus, Denmark, to get some necessary sparring.

Berlin´s Boxtempel gym celebrates its tenth anniversary on September 10 with a big party featuring some professional fights. Light heavyweight Riccardo Grassmann and jr middleweight Zapir Gereev are slated to compete in bouts.

Austrian-based welterweight Joel Mayo challenges IBF I/C champ Vyacheslav Senchenko on September 2 in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Light heavyweight Lee Manuel Osie returned  on August 26 in Accra and won the ABU title with a points win over Adewale Abbey. Osie fights out of Spain and Germany, and is managed by IFCO which is headed by Eva Rolle.
