Middleweight Petr Khamukov secured a third-round stoppage over Esau Herrera de la Cruz on Saturday night at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California. The 2016 Russian Olympian dominated every round before ending the fight at 1:28 in the third round. This marked Khamukov’s second fight at middleweight.

Khamukov (13-0, 6 KOs) expressed his desire to compete in the junior middleweight division but has struggled to find willing opponents due to his strong amateur background, making him a high-risk, low-reward matchup. Despite an uneventful bout, Khamukov unleashed a sequence of punches that left Herrera de la Cruz (21-17-1, 8 KOs) unable to continue.

This victory was Khamukov's first title defense of a regional belt, which he won via split decision earlier this year against Vaughn Alexander at the same venue.

In the co-feature, welterweight Jacob Macalolooy (8-0, 4 KOs) of Union City, California, won a unanimous decision over Xavier Madrid (5-4, 2 KOs). The competitive fight saw Madrid sustain a cut over his eye as both fighters traded punches. Macalolooy secured the win with a score of 60-54 on all three judges' scorecards.

Other bouts on the card included:

Middleweight Dante Kirkman (1-0), a Stanford University student, won a four-round unanimous decision over Henry Rivera (2-6, 1 KO) of Las Vegas, Nevada. All three judges scored the bout 40-36 for Kirkman.

Heavyweight Jett Blackwell (3-0-1) of Fresno, California, fought to a majority draw with Kaleel Carter (5-4-1, 5 KOs). The scores were 39-37 for Blackwell, 39-37 for Carter, and 38-38.

Featherweight Abraham Lozano (1-0, 1 KO) of Martinez, California, knocked out Darwin Mendoza (3-3, 1 KO) of Miami, Florida, in the first round. Lozano dropped Mendoza twice, with body shots ending the fight at 2:18.

Featherweight Sachery Sam (3-0, 2 KOs) of Stockton, California, stopped Mychaquell Shields (2-4) of Alpine, California, with a check left hook to the body at 2:21 of the second round.

In the opening bout, lightweight Kevin Montano (6-0, 3 KOs) of Sacramento, California, won a four-round unanimous decision over Pedro Pinillo (5-7, 5 KOs) of Cali, Colombia, with all three judges scoring the bout 39-37.
