For at least two-years, Shane Cameron (22-1, 19KOs) has been trying to land a fight with New Zealand rival David Tua (49-3-1, 42KOs), which is arguably the biggest fight in their country. Tua showed very little interest in the past and brushed off Cameron's advances - until now.

In a complete turn, it is now Tua who is pursuing Cameron, and this time it's Cameron who is taking his time to agree. Tua's side has given Cameron until the end of next week to agree to a proposed offer for a March fight, or they will never come to the table again.

An Auckland-based events company, Duco Ltd, has come into the fold and appears to be putting up the money and playing the role of the middleman in making the fight happen for next March. According to Tua's promoter Cedric Kushner, Duco presented Tua with an offer that was high enough to change his mind on fighting Cameron without any hesitation.

"If we don't have a response, then it simply means Shane Cameron or his handlers don't want him to fight," Kushner told The New Zealand Herald.

Cameron has won three in a row after being upset last November by Friday Ahunanya, who won their brutal fight by TKO in the twelfth round.
