Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom has a plan of attack in mind, when it comes to the comeback of former WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (24-0, 17 KOs).

Earlier this week, boxing fans rejoiced when Fury accepted a backdated two-year ban from UK Anti-Doping (UKAD), which expired on December 12.

Fury's career was at risk with UKAD, as the agency claimed the boxer tested positive for a banned substance in early 2015. As part of that agreement, his TKO win over Christian Hammer was changed to a no-contest.

Fury's return will not be complete until the British Boxing Board of Control renews his boxing license. They are holding a meeting on the matter in January.

Hearn, who wants to work with Fury, would love to match him against Dillian Whyte.

And if Fury wins that bout, then Hearn would match him against Tony Bellew - provided Bellew defeats David Haye in their May 5th rematch. And beating Bellew would lead Fury to a blockbuster fight against IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (2-0, 20 KOs).

"The good news is he's now served his ban. It looks almost inevitable that we'll see him return to boxing, which is great for the sport. We've got three fights for him. He can fight Dillian Whyte on the comeback, then Tony Bellew and then he can have Anthony Joshua," Hearn said.

"Team Joshua are over the moon because we want as many contenders as possible and we want the biggest fights, and Tyson Fury has to go down on that list.

"Tyson knows he has to come back in a fight or two, but we're ready and waiting. We've had a couple of texts backwards and forwards about his idea of how a deal should work. He wants a lot more than a 50/50 split, he's already told me. Certainly that's a fight that's on everybody's minds right now."

Hearn also commented on a recent video that Fury posted on social media, where he basically told the Matchroom promoter - "f*** you."

"I've got a strange relationship with Tyson Fury. When I see him we have a really nice time together and I almost think he likes me. Then I looked at his Instagram and he's telling me otherwise. But politics aside, I think everyone knows that fight's got to happen," Hearn said.
