Although he insists that he is still a work in progress, London’s IBF heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) believes he already has what it takes to dethrone IBO/WBA/WBO world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18KOs).

Joshua defends the title he won by beating Charles Martin against America’s Dominic Breazeale at the O2 Arena on Saturday night.  The fight will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office here in the U.K.; it is also the first fight of Joshua’s “multi fight” deal with U.S. network Showtime.

Despite the fact both he and Fury already have title defenses on their plates — Fury meets Wladimir Klitscho in a rematch at the Manchester Arena on July 9 — Joshua has called for an all-British showdown.

“Whenever he's ready, I'm ready,” he said when speaking to the Daily Mirror’s David Anderson. “As soon as he's ready, we'll get it on.  I think it's big enough as it is.  That's why I'm not saying I need to wait around for 'X' amount of time.  I think it's big enough as it is.  Me, personally, I'd be cool if it was my next fight.  I'm ready now.”

The 26-year-old believes he has the beating of his British rival despite Fury’s greater ring experience.

“It's still the beginning for me,” he added.  “I still feel like I'm improving with each fight.  This is just the start.  The cake hasn't even been put in the oven yet.  I think I've only reached 70 percent of what I can be.  There's still about 30 per cent more to come.  One hundred percent would be unstoppable.  I really feel I can improve that much.”
