World class trainer Robert Garcia recently went live on social media to answer fans' questions on various topics in the sport of boxing.

Garcia has a large stable of fighters that includes his brother Mikey Garcia and WBC/WBO super lightweight champion Jose Ramirez. He also previously trained world champions such as Marcos Maidana, Abner Mares, Antonio Margarito and Brandon Rios.

A fan asked Garcia for his thoughts on the upcoming trilogy bout between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (30-0-1) and Deontay Wilder (42-1-1).  The two fighters first fought to a draw in December 2018. In their rematch Fury battered Wilder and stopped him in 7 rounds.

The third installment was originally scheduled for July 18th but those plans had to be scrapped due to the covid-19 pandemic.  The new date penciled in is December 19th at the new Allegiant Stadium which is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Fury has already opened up as a 3-1 favorite at some Las Vegas sportsbooks but Garcia believes Wilder has a great chance to regain his title.

"I think Wilder has a good chance at getting his belt back. I said it before that I think something was wrong with him. He didn't say nothing or come up with any excuses besides saying that the outfit was too heavy but I really thought something was wrong with him. Even before he got dropped I thought something was wrong with him. He just didn't seem the same," Garcia stated.

The Southern California based trainer was also asked for his opinion on a potential Errol Spence-Terence Crawford welterweight unification bout which is a fight that boxing fans have been craving for the past couple years.

"Right now at this point I would have to pick Crawford over Spence because he had that (car) accident and we have to see how he is going to come back," Garcia explained.
