Junior welterweight contender Sandor Martin will face Kay Prospere of England on March 26, Matchroom Boxing announced Thursday.

The 12-round bout will take place at the Pabellon de la Vall d’Hebron in Martin’s hometown of Barcelona, Spain. The fight, along with the 12-round featherweight bout between Andoni Gago and Gavin McDonnell, will stream live on DAZN.

Both Martin and Gago will defend their EBU titles that night.

"This is a huge card for Spanish boxing and we can’t wait to return on March 26,” said Matchroom Sport Managing Director Eddie Hearn. “As Matchroom Boxing continues its global expansion, Spain remains a big focus for us and this double European title card features some of the country's strongest talents with two hungry Brits looking to come and rip the titles from them.”

Martin (37-2, 13 knockouts) won the EBU title belt in July 2019, stopping Italy’s Andrea Scarpa after round 9. The southpaw made a successful defense of the title four and a months later, defeating Joe Hughes by unanimous decision.

In his last bout on December 17, the 27-year-old defeated journeyman Nestor Maradiaga by unanimous decision over eight rounds. He has won his last eight bouts since losing to contender Anthony Yigit of Sweden in September 2017.

Prospere (14-1, 7 KOs), who resides in Luton, England, has not fought since March 7, defeating Bibal Redman by unanimous decision in a clash of once-beaten fighters. The 36-year-old is unbeaten in his last six bouts since losing to Rakeem Noble in October 2016.

The winner between the Iago-McDowell fight will elevate him to contender status in a competitive featherweight division.

Gago (24-3-3, 7 KOs), who resides in Bilbao, Spain, won by technical decision over Brayan Mairena in his last bout on October 23. The 35-year-old is unbeaten in his last nine bouts, amongst them a technical draw against former WBC junior featherweight titleholder Victor Terrazas, since losing by knockout to Lee Selby in March 2017.

McDonnell (22-2-2, 6 KOs) has challenged for a world title at 122 on two occasions, losing to then-WBC titleholder Rey Vargas in 2017 and then-WBA titleholder Danny Roman in 2018. The Doncaster, England resident has not fought since winning back-to-back fights in 2019, the last coming in October of that year.

Junior middleweight contender Sergio Garcia (33-0, 14 KOs) and welterweight contender Kerman Lejarraga (31-2, 24 KOs) will also fight on the card in separate bouts.
