Berlin, Germany - Power F Boxing with Mario Pokowietz at the wheel celebrated 30 years in the business in 2020 but was unable to stage a show last year due to Covid-19.
However, one year later Mario and his team got a solid show off the ground with eleven fights on the bill.
The star in the PFB stable for a few years is Zapir Rasulov (36-1) who's ranked # 15 by the WBA at lightweight. Rasulov tuned up for bigger things to come with an eight-rounder made at 145 lbs against unheralded Nestor Facchio (18-13-2). Rasulov can fight but was not in top shape and seemed to take the win for granted.
After a slow start he had his opponent on shaky legs in the fourth but Facchio fought back and nailed Rasulov good and now he was in trouble and the fight went back and forth for the next few rounds. It was touch and go who would win but the judges scored it a wide win Rasulov at 79-74, 80-74 and 77-75. The crowd on hand cheered for Facchio and he deserved at least a draw.
Super bantam Michael Kannler (12-3-1) won the vacant GBC title with a wide unanimous decision over Hungarian Jozsef Ajtai (22-18): Kannler chased and Ajtai moved away on quick feet and that was the story of the fight that was scored 118-110 twice and 120-108.
The International German - GBA version -Veteran title was at stake when veteran super middleweights Turgay Uzun, 46, and Robert Larsen, 47, clashed in a scheduled 10-rounder. Both oldtimers took it easy to begin with but Larsen (5-3-1) hurt Uzun (41-30-2) to the body in the third. Uzun went down but came back and had his best round in the fourth but was obviously injured and retired at the end of the round.
Fight of the night was a wild brawl between debuting light heavies Konrad Kozlowski and James Edward Ocran. Kozlowski wanted it more and won after four tough rounds.
Middleweight Mike Jade (16-0) had problems with his timing against tricky Czech veteran Chris Herrmann (22-17-1) but finally found the range in the sixth and final round and it was a bad knockout but Herrmann got up after a few minutes on the floor.
