Youri Kalenga Eyes Shot, Calls Out Denis Lebedev

Fresh off his victory over Mateusz Masternak, Youri Kalenga wants a piece of the big guns at cruiserweight. Kalenga (20-1, 13 KOs) won the WBA interim title in the bout, and now stands in line for a shot at the division's "full" champion for the WBA, Denis Lebedev. Kalenga is willing to travel to Moscow for the opportunity, but he would prefer if his promoter King Sports could do the fight stateside.

Casino de Monte Carlo Salle Medecin, Monte Carlo, Monaco - Youri Kayembre Kalenga (20-1, 13KOs) had a break out victory when he scored an upset twelve round split decision over the heavily favored Mateusz Masternak (32-2, 23KOs) to capture the vacant interim-vacant WBA cruiserweight title. The scores were 115-113 for Masternak, and scores of 116-112, 115-113 for Kalenga, who now moves a step close to getting a crack at Denis Lebedev.
