The two top heavyweights in the world will never fight each other. WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and older brother, WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, sit at the top of the heavyweight division. Wladimir said he and Vitali have not sparred for years because the two of them are too competitive and their sparring sessions started to become wars in the gym. Based on that, he knows a fight with his older brother would be a brutal encounter.

“If this fight were to ever take place, it would be a very brutal battle. It was already like that when we fought each other as sparring partners. This fight among brothers would only have losers. If I won, I would jump out of my skin. It would be similar the other way around,” Wladimir said to Thomas Deirenga.

Vitali gave his own thoughts on the matter. He says a fight wth younger brother Wladimir is something they promised their mother they would never do and feels it would be an impossible task to schedule such a fight without here finding out.

“It would be important that our mother wouldn’t hear anything. We would have to send her on a cruise for three months before the fight without any newspapers or TV,” Vitali said.
