Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder II: Afterthoughts
ESPN doesn’t have to provide the world an inadvertent drinking game anymore. They did a good job pushing the lineal claim of Tyson Fury between the first two chapters of the Fury-Deontay Wilder rivalry.

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Jay Deas claims it was not his decision to throw in the towel during Deontay Wilder’s defeat to Tyson Fury. The 31-year-old Briton twice knocked down the WBC heavyweight champion before finally claiming victory in the seventh round when the American's corner waved the white flag on Saturday night.

Tyson Fury's sensational return to heavyweight champion glory is "the best story in boxing history", according to his former trainer Ben Davison. The 'Gypsy King' became a two-time heavyweight champion of the world with a devastating seventh-round TKO of Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas to capture the WBC belt.

Ben Davison, the former trainer of Tyson Fury, believes the boxer played mind games with Deontay Wilder at the official weigh-in from Friday. Last month, Fury dropped Davison after five fights of working together. He then hired veteran coach SugarHill Steward of the Kronk Gym.

When Tyson Fury stopped Deontay Wilder in the seventh round of their bout on Saturday night, he fulfilled a pledge made online seven years earlier. In October 2013, six months after taking down Steve Cunningham in New York and not the type to back away from a challenge, Fury sent Wilder a message on Twitter.

Frank Warren, promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder is likely to be next. Wilder and Fury fought to a controversial twelve round split draw in December 2018. On Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Fury set the record straight when he dropped Wilder twice and stopped him in the seventh round to capture the WBC title.

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is not pleased with Eddie Hearn's talk of a full division unification between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Hearn, who promotes Joshua and works closely with Whyte, says a unification between Joshua and Fury "has to happen this year."
