Having dropped or stopped every opponent he’s faced to date, there’s no question that Deontay Wilder won’t hesitate to take any opening that provides itself on fight night. This time around, the unbeaten, long-reigning heavyweight titlist has a clear target for which to aim in his upcoming rematch with England’s Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20KOs).
By Mitch Abramson - George Foreman has been a part of some of the most iconic boxing matches of all time. But rematches? Not so much. Foreman, a two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, does know a classic battle when he sees it, and he called Deontay Wilder’s rematch with Tyson Fury next Saturday for the WBC title one of...
Bob Arum was more concerned about the cut which threatened the status of Tyson Fury’s last fight than the Brit’s claims of going for a knockout in his next one. England’s Fury (29-0-1, 20KOs) has claimed to anyone who will listen that his upcoming heavyweight title fight rematch with Alabama’s Deontay Wilder (42-0-1, 41KOs) will not last more than two rounds. Such a feat would match the quickest knockout he has scored in the past 10 years, which came just two fights ago in a six-minute drubbing of Germany’s unbeaten but untested heavyweight Tom Schwarz last June.
Former division king Wladimir Klitschko is hoping Anthony Joshua unifies the entire heavyweight division. Joshua will make his next defense of the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev in June.

Arum’s company, Top Rank Inc., didn’t become Fury’s co-promoter until a couple months after their December 2018 bout resulted in a widely...
Now that he has spent 12 rounds in the ring against Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury feels even more confident entering their rematch than he did before their first fight. Fury demeaned Wilder as “one-dimensional” and “a one-trick pony” during a conference call Thursday to promote their heavyweight championship rematch February 22 in Las Vegas. According to the gigantic Englishman, he doesn’t need to concern himself with much more than Wilder’s dangerous right hand when they square off again at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Deontay Wilder doesn’t buy Tyson Fury’s confidence as their rematch approaches. Wilder feels Fury fended off their second fight as long as he could because the lineal heavyweight champion honestly wants no part of his incredible power again. The hard-hitting Wilder floored Fury twice in their first fight, once apiece in the ninth and 12th rounds, but a resilient Fury finished their fight on his feet and fought the unbeaten WBC champion to a widely disputed split draw.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, would like to see Tyson Fury win his upcoming rematch with Deontay Wilder - but he believes the champion will likely come out on top. Fury will challenge Wilder for the WBC world title on February 22 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is standing firm that Tyson Fury will defeat Deontay Wilder, the WBC world champion, in their upcoming rematch. Wilder will defend the title against Fury on February 22 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
