MGM Grand, Las Vegas - There was some serious tension between WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1, 21KOs) and mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32KOs). The two fighters will collide in a Showtime televised main event on Saturday night
During their final press conference on Thursday morning, Wilder launched a verbal assault on Stiverne, as the champion sat there, kept quiet, and took everything in.
"I hope you're ready. Everybody has been speaking for you, but the only problem is - they can't fight for you. They only can make it worse for you. You don't understand what type of man you are about to get in the ring with. You don't understand what you got yourself into to. You've only been champ for a short time but you walk around like you've been champ for a long time. All this is about to end. You've only been a tourist with that belt. Your team needs to finds new jobs because I'm about to delete all ya'll jobs," Wilder
"Don, he said he you brought him to the top but when happens when he gets stopped. I'm about to put this Haitian on permanent vacation."
