Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte took a swipe at promoter Eddie Hearn, who was praising former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua at a London press conference.

On Monday, a press conference was held to announce the rematch between Joshua and Whyte, which takes place at the O2 Arena on August 12.

The first meeting too place in December 2015, with Joshua winning by knockout in seven rounds.

Both Joshua and Whyte are training in the United States. Joshua now trains in Dallas, Texas under Derrick James, while Whyte is in Florida with Buddy McGirt.

Whyte took aim at Hearn for visiting Joshua in Texas, but not bothering to visit him in Florida.

"You be bullsh!tting, you went all the way to Dallas to see AJ and you didn't come to Florida to see me," Whyte said.

To which Hearn responded - "I didn't think you would take the fight"

And Whyte replied: "You be bullsh!tting, you've got to stop that, seriously. You didn't think I was going to take the fight?"

While Hearn was attempting to explain himself - Whyte cut him off and stated: "Can I ask you one question? What do AJ's balls taste like?"

And Hearn fired right back with: "You might find out on August 12."

The fight is a dangerous one for Joshua, who wasn't impressive in his April return, which saw him secure a twelve round unanimous decision over Jermaine Taylor. At the same time, Whyte also failed to impress in his last outing - and that contest also took place against Franklin.

The win over Franklin snapped a two-fight losing streak for Joshua, who dropped back to back bouts to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022.
