Frank Warren, who promotes once-beaten light heavyweight contender Anthony Yarde, expects his boxer to resume a new world title run in the near future.

Last year in Russia, Yarde came very close to stopping then WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev.

But Yarde eventually ran out of gas and was knocked out.

One of the biggest domestic fights for Yarde is a showdown with Rio Olympian Joshua Buatsi.

Buatsi is promoted by Warren's promotional rival, Eddie Hearn.

Warren has no issue with making that fight, but he believes the contest deserves an audience - which is currently not possible with the coronavirus pandemic.

"I have no problem with it, it's a great fight, but you want it with a crowd because it would draw 25,000 people or maybe more. It's not an issue for us," Warren told Sky Sports.

"Yarde is a fighting man, he went to fight Kovalev in his backyard and was 10 seconds away from winning. Kovalev was all over the place but Yarde ran out of gas.

"Yarde had limited experience as an amateur - compare that to Buatsi's experience. Yarde had 11 fights as an amateur so it's tremendous what he's done."

Buatsi believes that he's more than capable to beat Yarde or anyone else in the weight class.

"How would I beat Yarde? I'd improve on what I'm doing. I tend not to watch opponents too much because if I improve, it will be good enough to beat whoever is in front of me," Buatsi said.

Yarde (19-1, 18 KOs) has been out of the ring since gaining a stay-busy win with a two round stoppage in February. And Buatsi (12-0, 10 KOs) was last seen in August when he knocked out Robert Ford in seven.
