WBA world heavyweight champ David Haye has said that he would give Wladimir Klitschko a good slap in ring so that it will tempt his big brother Vitali to come out and fight him.

David Haye fully expects Wladimir Klitschko to be fit enough to fight him this summer.

IBF, WBO, IBO and "The Ring“ World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko and WBA Champion David Haye have both agreed to participate in a unification fight this summer. The fight will happen either on June 25 or July 2. In Germany, potential venues could be the football arenas of German Bundesliga clubs Dortmund, Kaiserslautern or Schalke.

WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is ready to swap big punches before he quits the fight game on his 31st birthday in October. Haye is desperate to leave a lasting legacy to boxing and his masterplan is to fight WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on June 25 or July 2 in Germany – which is nearly finalized – and then take on older brother Vitali to add the WBC title in the fall.

David Haye's manager has warned there is a long way to go before a fight with one of the Klitschko brothers is signed and sealed, admitting they are "still swimming through the quagmire of boxing negotiations".

David Haye is confident of fighting one of the Klitschko brothers this summer after declaring their much-hyped bout was "back on".

Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, is giving undefeated Odlanier Solis a good shot of upsetting WBC champion Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 38KOs) on March 19 at the Lanxess-Arena in Cologne, Germany. Solis (17-0, 12KOs), a 2004 Olympic Gold medal winner, is a big underdog on both sides of the ocean. He was a top amateur who was groomed by the Cuban boxing system. Solis was recently co-promoted by Top Rank, but he was granted a release because Arum's company does very little business with the heavyweight division.

Bernd Boente, manager of heavyweight champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko is confident that a unification bout with David Haye, the WBA's champion, will happen in 2011. Haye was scheduled to make a mandatory defense of his title on May 21. BoxingScene reported last week that promoter Frank Warren has now secured Haye's date from Sky Sports. Haye is leaning in the direction of facing either of the Klitschko brothers on July 2.
