Dereck Chisora insists he is unfazed by the prospect of challenging Vitali Klitschko in the WBC heavyweight champion's German stronghold on Saturday.

Vitali Klitschko has vowed to take revenge on Dereck Chisora tomorrow after being slapped on the face by the WBC heavyweight title challenger "like a woman" today.

World Boxing Council President Jose Sulaiman is furious, and informed BoxingScene.com that his organization has fined Dereck Chisora $50,000 dollars for slapping WBC heavyweight Vitali Klitschko during Friday's weigh-in in Munich, Germany.

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and British challenger Dereck Chisora clash at the official weigh-in when Chisora slaps Vitali in the face.

Dereck Chisora lit the touchpaper ahead of his WBC heavyweight title challenge by slapping champion Vitali Klitschko at Friday's weigh-in in Munich. The eccentric Londoner is a rank outsider ahead of the weekend's bout and attempted to get under the long-reigning champion's skin.

By Jake Donovan - News continues to come at every turn regarding Saturday evening’s heavyweight title fight between long-reigning champ tali Klitschko and challenger Dereck Chisora at Olympiahalle in Munich. Friday’s weigh-in was hardly an exception, with Chisora continuing to push the envelope on the psychological front. The charismatic Brit has been outspoken throughout the press tour, with most of his ribbings taken in good nature. He crossed the line on Friday, however, after slapping Klitschko across the face during the obligatory stare-down following the weigh-in. Klitschko weighed in at 243.6 lb, while Chisora came in at a near-career low 241.2 lb. Despite a mere two pounds separate fighters six inches apart in height, the relatively low weights for both fighters speak to how seriously each fighter is taking this fight.

Vitali Klitschko isn’t sure who he’ll fight if he defeats Dereck Chisora on Saturday and can’t convince David Haye to sign a contract.

Welsh star Nathan Cleverly celebrates his 25th birthday tomorrow and has promised to party after he has blown-out Tommy Karpency next week at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.

by Cliff Rold - It’s hard not to be entertained by Heavyweight Dereck Chisora (15-2, 9 KO). Heading into a shot at WBC Heavyweight titlist Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO) this Saturday (Epix, 4:30 PM EST), it’s harded to find many giving him much of a shot at victory. Sure, he’s a dozen years younger. He’s coming off a career best performance. But he’s Dereck Chisora. And the other guy is Vitali Klitschko. Damn the odds. Chisora, with only seventeen starts, seems to recognize two things. He is expected to lose and, because of that, he has nothing to lose from first bell to last. How serious this fight is to be taken will largely be decided between those echoing clangs. The weigh-in will also provide clues. In the two biggest fights of his career to date, the scale has spoken volumes about what fans are going to get from Chisora. In July 2011, the British-based Chisora took an undefeated mark into a battle with fellow undefeated Brit Tyson Fury. He also took close to twenty pounds too much with him into the ring. Make no mistake. Chisora-Fury ended up a good scrap. Fury proved to be highly underrated by the overly skeptical (ahem…).

Britain's former heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis tonight claimed Dereck Chisora was not ready for his shot at Vitali Klitschko's WBC belt. Saturday night in Munich will see 28-year-old Londoner Chisora step into the ring as a huge underdog when he tackles 40-year-old Klitschko at the Olympiahalle.
