NASHVILLE—Caleb Plant takes tremendous pride in offering a different type of performance whenever he steps into the ring. The question heading into this weekend is what his opponent, Vincent Feigenbutz will be able to provide to avoid looking like any other style he’s already seen in the ring.

Vincent Feigenbutz (31-2, 28 KOs) hosted a press conference today in his home city of Karlsruhe ahead of flying out to Nashville, Tennessee, where he will challenge Caleb Plant (19-0, 11 KOs) for the IBF Super Middleweight World title at the Bridgestone Arena on February 15th.
NASHVILLE—The timing of Wednesday’s press conference to announce a homecoming title defense for Caleb Plant was interesting for a number of reasons. The presser served to formally announce Plant’s mandatory title defense versus Germany’s Vincent Feigenbutz (31-2, 28KOs), which takes place February 15 live on Fox from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, with the venue hosting the session on Wednesday. It comes two days after the fighting pride of Ashland City, Tennessee celebrated his one-year anniversary as a super middleweight titlist.
NASHVILLE—The only takeaway for Caleb Plant in celebrating his first full year as a major titlist, is that there remains far more work to be done. “It means a lot to celebrate my one-year anniversary as the super middleweight champion of the world,” Plant (19-0, 11KOs) told BoxingScene.com. “But I don’t to look back at what I’ve done to be satisfied with where I’m at. Winning this world title has never been about the praise—it’s fine that it comes with it, but that’s never been what I’m about.
German super middleweight and former WBA interim-champ Vincent Feigenbutz has once again changed his trainer. He will now, according to boxen1.com, be trained by Eduard Mchel and Kosta Patoulidis. Feigenbutz, who challenges IBF king Caleb Plant on February 15 in Nashville, was first to be trained by veteran and living legend Ulli Wegner but he wound up in the hospital with a broken leg. Then Torsten Schmitz was hired as trainer but that collaboration ended almost before it started due to what appears to be a lack of planning and coordination as Schmitz also trains Sophie Allisch in Berlin while Team Feigenbutz, based in Karlsruhe, had plans for a training camp in the Slovenian mountains.
