Victoria Bustos: record, next fight and profile →
Fresh off a May 14 event that featured Jessica Camara’s upset of Heather Hardy, Lou DiBella is stepping up to the plate again on August 20 with perhaps the best all-female card seen in years, featuring two world championship fights, a title eliminator and the return of a former world champ after a long layoff.
Braekhus, Bustos Fight Photos Gallery - Monaco - Cecilia Braekhus moved closer to a huge showdown against Katie Taylor after successfully defending her undisputed Welterweight crown against tough Argentinian Victoria Bustos.
Cecilia Braekhus beat up Victoria Bustos for much of their 10-round fight Saturday night. The long-reigning, undisputed women’s welterweight champion picked apart the Argentinean veteran and easily defended her five 147-pound championships at Casino de Monte Carlo in Monte Carlo. The Colombian-born, Norwegian-bred Braekhus basically toyed with the tough but overmatched Bustos.
Is the best yet to come for Cecilia Braekhus or she is on the downside of a Hall-of-Fame career? Even though she is 38 years of age, Braekhus believes in the former. Braekhus will make another defense of her undisputed welterweight championship Saturday night as she faces Argentina’s Victoria Bustos at the Casino de Monte Carlo Salle Medecin in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The 10-round bout will precede the main event bout between Radhzab Butaev and Alexander Besputin for the vacant WBA welterweight title.
