Undefeated heavyweight contender Tyson Fury is overjoyed at finalizing a deal that will see him officially take part in a pro wrestling match.

After shooting several televised angles with the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), a match was finalized between Fury and WWE superstar Braun Strowman.

Fury, who last month sustained a severe cut in a voluntary defense victory over Otto Wallin, is planning to face WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in a rematch on a date in February.

Wilder and Fury fought to a controversial twelve round split draw in December 2018.

Before that can happen, Wilder will defend his title in a rematch with Luis Ortiz on November 23 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Fury is a huge fan of the WWE and their product.

He spoke to the WWE several years ago about the possibility of holding a match with them, but the discussions fell through.

According to wrestling insider Dave Meltzer, Fury's appearance was personally requested by royal family members in Saudi Arabia. The WWE were given the task of securing Fury's services for the upcoming event - which is called Crown Jewel. The WWE have a very lucrative multi-year agreement with Saudi Arabia to stage huge events in the country.

"How honoured I am to be involved in such a massive event in Saudi Arabia. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me," Fury said. "This is something I've always dreamed of. I am lifelong WWE fan and this is a fantastic opportunity for me.

"When I go to Saudi, I am still going to be undefeated, I am going to knock Braun Strowman out. He's meeting a guy who has the best hands in boxing. He don't want none of these hands."
