At the York Hall, Bethnal Green, London, heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (7-0, 7KOs) stopped Aleksandrs Selezens (3-7, 1KOs) in three rounds.

After dealing out some minor punishment in the first two rounds, Fury began to let his hands go in the third round and sent Selezens crumbling down to the mat. A few moments later the corner of Selezens threw in the towel. It marked the first stoppage loss for Selezens.

Fury challenges John McDermott (25-5, 16KOs) for the BBBofC English heavyweight title in the fall. There is a tentative date of September 11.
