TOMASZ ADAMEK QUOTES FROM HIS MEDIA WORKOUT: Fernwood Resort, Bushkill, PA - "Fighting Kevin McBride is a good test for me. We had a good camp. I am in the ring with Roger every day. I am six, seven weeks training very hard. As you know, Roger changed me a lot. I have more movement. When I punch somebody I hit them up. I am more flexible in the ring, I can change. I feel I can fight anybody and win."

Kevin McBride held a media workout today in preparation for his April 9th fight against Tomasz Adamek. This is what he had to say:

LOS ANGELES – Former world heavyweight champion and 1996 Bellarusian Olympian, Sergei “The White Wolf” Liakhovich, has some unfinished boxing business to take care of starting April 9, when the consummate boxer-puncher returns to the ring for the first time in nearly a year.

By Cliff Rold - There is, for some, optimism as boxing approaches the first major Heavyweight fight of the year this weekend. It has not been unfair to argue the years since the retirement of Lennox Lewis as the least entertaining era in Heavyweight history. Some might even say the worst, period, but the entertainment part is what is really being gotten at. Least entertaining is not an indictment of the qualities of the best fighters of the time. The brothers Klitschko are good fighters in any era, champions in more than a few, and have made due with what they’ve had around them. They are a testament to professionalism and focus. Where other fighters of their size and skill might well have sloughed off and still assumed victory on most nights, where other contenders in their time have made a habit of showing up looking like they didn’t show up, the Klitschko’s always arrive ready.

With less than a month before the end of training camp, Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28 KOs) is in the mountain village of Bushkill, Pennsylvania, where the "Highlander" is training for next month's fight against Kevin McBride (35-8-1, 29 KOs). Adamek watched last Saturday's victorious struggle which involved another Polish rider from New Jersey, junior middleweight Paul Wolak (29-1, 19 KOs) - who stopped Yuri Foreman (28-2, 8 KOs) in six rounds.

Heavyweight Tomasz Adamek is ready for his date with Kevin McBride on April 9. It was be the final fight for Adamek before a set meeting with either of the Klitschko brothers in the fall. Adamek (43-1, 28 KOs) takes on McBride at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey (35-8-1, 29 KOs). The Klitschko fight is going to take place at a soccer stadium in Poland.
