SES announced today (Sep 3) that heavyweights Tom Schwarz (25-1) and Ilja Mezencev (20-1) will clash for the vacant IBF International title on September 28 at the Stadthalle in Magdeburg.

Schwarz knocked out Mezencev back 2015 but was stopped himself by Tyson Fury in his last fight so both men needs a win badly.

In the co-feature light heavyweight Adam Deines (18-1-1) take on an opponent to be announced and heavyweight prospect Peter Kadiru (4-0) fights on the undercard.

In other news involving SES Agit Kabayel (22-2 or 19-0 take your pick) relinquished the EBU heavyweight title. There were purse bids scheduled today for Kabayel vs mandatory challenger Joe Joyce (10-0) but the Brit will now have to wait for the EBU to appoint a co-challenger.

Kabayel won the title in 2017 by beating Herve Hubeaux and beat Derek Chisora in his first defence and has since defended title twice more. More news on his next move are expected within the next few days.
