BoxingScene.com recently caught up with former two-division champion Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley (31-1-1) who faces Jessie Vargas (26-0) on June 27th in an HBO televised main event. Humberto Soto faces Raymundo Beltran in the televised co-featured bout.
Bradley will be fighting for the first time this year after a rocky 2014 where he lost to Manny Pacquiao and had a very questionable draw against Diego Chaves. Many ringside observers felt that Bradley won at least eight rounds against the rugged Argentine.
Bradley has a lot of respect for his unbeaten opponent and plans on getting back to his winning ways when he steps in the ring.
"You are going to see an unbelievable fight. He is a very high quality opponent. An undefeated opponent. It is going to be a great night of boxing for all of the fans," said Bradley.
The 31-year-old Bradley has also been providing expert commentary for Top Rank's new series on TruTV. He said that when his career is over he would like to make the transition into television full time.
"Absolutely. I love fighting and I get the chance to talk about what I love - fighting," Bradley stated.
As for how much longer he has left in the ring, Bradley said that he has an idea but that he hasn't 100% decided yet on when the last fight of his potentially Hall of Fame career may take place.
"I don't know yet. I got a goal in mind. A couple more years maybe but things change man. Things change like the weather so it is really hard to say right now honestly," Bradley told BoxingScene.com.
