WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) would love to get a fight with Danny Garcia (31-0, 18KOs), who recently moved up from the junior welterweight ranks where he held the WBC and WBA world titles.

Thurman was ringside at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Garcia moved up to the welterweight division and stopped former two-division champion Paulie Malignaggi.

Garcia said he was willing to face someone like Thurman - if their mutual manager Al Haymon was interested in matching them. Haymon or no Haymon, Thurman would like to test Garcia by the end of the year or early next year.

"I welcome every fighter from the 140 division that wants to fight at welterweight, especially a champion [at 140] like Danny Garcia. I would like to make a fight with someone like Danny Garcia sometime this year or early next year. That would be a terrific fight," Thurman said.
