On the undercard to Klitschko-Gomez at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Halle in Stuttgart, Germany, heavyweight contender Tony Thompson (32-2, 20 KOs) battered Adnan Serin (19-10, 7 KOs) for five rounds before the ref jumped in to stop the fight when Serin's corner threw in the towel.
The fight is Thompson's first win since a knockout loss to Wladimir Klitschko last July in Hamburg. Thompson was one of Vitali' Klitschko's sparring partners for the title defense against Juan Carlos Gomez.
