Mayweather Promotions held a fight card on January 17th at the MGM Grand Garden. The fight card took place during Manny Pacquiao-Adrien Broner fight week and tickets were free as a way to give to back to the fans.

The fights in the ring weren't the only action that took place that night.  Top lightweight prospect/contenders Teofimo Lopez (11-0) and Devin Haney (21-0) were both in attendance and crossed paths in a video captured by BoxingScene.com.

They have a rivalry that dates back to when they sparred with each other over a year ago.

Lopez's career has been built on ESPN while most of Haney's televised fights have taken place on Showtime's ShoBox Series. Lopez returns to the ring Saturday night against Diego Magdaleno in the chief supporting bout underneath the Eleider Alvarez-Sergey Kovalev main event.

Earlier this week Lopez said that the reason he is more well known and farther along than Haney - even though he has less professional fights - is because of the results he has produced in the ring.

"I don't get the attention just off of talking. You have to actually back it up.  Some fighters might get jealous or be envious about it, (cough cough) Devin Haney but the whole thing is I actually walk what I talk. At the end of the day what are you going to set out to do? I am where I am for those reasons. You can't just be a social media champion. You have to be a champion with everybody. You have to be a champion at boxing and especially outside the ring you have to be a people's champion." Lopez stated.

The 21-year-old Lopez understands that just winning isn't enough to become a superstar and that you must also market and promoter yourself outside of the ring. One of those attributes without the other isn't enough in this day in age to really resonate with the fans.

I am two different people when it comes to this. When it comes to fighting and outside of the ring. I am going to give you guys some of the stuff some people like to see and others may not like to see. We are going to talk our shit and back it up," Lopez told BoxingScene.com.

Lopez also said that fans can expect to see a lot of him this year.

"They got me fighting a lot man. As long as everything is good I think we will fight 4-5 times this year," said Lopez.
