Stevenson: If Bellew Wins, I'll Go To Cruiser and Beat Him Again

WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson would love to get a rematch with Tony Bellew - if they both win their upcoming fights.

Bellew returns to the cruiserweight ranks on Saturday night in Manchester, and faces WBC, WBO, IBF, WBA unified champion Oleksandr Usyk.

And Stevenson returns next month in a mandatory defense against Usyk's countryman and Olympic team member, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, on December 1 in a Showtime televised fight from Canada.

Stevenson was the last fighter to pull off a victory over Bellew, when he stopped him in six rounds back in 2013 at 175-pounds.

After that loss, Bellew moved up to cruiserweight and reinvented his entire career - eventually winning the WBC world title at cruiserweight. And then he even moved up to heavyweight to secure back to back knockout wins over two division champion David Haye.

Bellew is a huge underdog against Usyk.

But should he pull off a shocking upset - Stevenson is willing to move up to the cruiserweight limit to challenge him for the unified crown.

"I don't have anything against Bellew but I do know he always talks sh*t, though," Stevenson exclusively told Sky Sports.

"I love that about him, but I would like it if he wins. If he does win, I can fight him up at cruiserweight and beat him as a cruiserweight for the titles.

"If I can fight for all four belts, I would like it. I would prefer to fight for them at catchweight, but I am the lineal champion at light-heavyweight, so I would like four more belts."

While Stevenson would like to see Bellew win, he believes Usyk is going to come away with the win.

"Bellew is a good boxer, a very intelligent boxer," said Stevenson.

"When I boxed him I saw that. He is a good boxer, had good movement and he can put pressure on. He is a sneaky boxer as well but I do believe Usyk has the edge. He does everything well and he is a good technical boxer, too, and plus he is a southpaw.

"Usyk has the edge. He won the big World Boxing Super Series tournament and I think he will give Bellew the 'L'."

Stevenson is old, but Bellew is 35 and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. He's actually gotten better. I wouldn't call him old.
