Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton has no doubt in his mind that he and Jaron “Boots” Ennis are the torchbearers for a new era of Philadelphia fighters.

Brandon Figueroa and Stephen Fulton have received a new date for their 122-pound title unification fight. BoxingScene.com has learned that Figueroa and Fulton will headline a rescheduled “Showtime Championship Boxing” tripleheader November 27, the Saturday night after Thanksgiving Day. The site for the card headlined by Figueroa-Fulton, which was supposed to take place this Saturday night at Park MGM’s Park Theater in Las Vegas, will remain the same.

Another intriguing fight has been removed from the schedule. Brandon Figueroa has been forced to withdraw from a scheduled junior featherweight title unification clash with Stephen Fulton (19-0, 8KOs) after testing positive for Covid-19, both boxers confirmed Monday. Figueroa (22-0-1, 17KOs) was due to put his WBC title on the line in a bid to fight for Fulton’s WBO belt, with their bout to have headlined the September 18 edition of Showtime Championship Boxing from Park MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stephen Fulton does not understand the hype behind Brandon Figueroa’s title-winning stoppage of Luis Nery last May. Fulton, the WBO junior featherweight titleholder from Philadelphia, will face off against Weslaco, Texas’ Figueora, the WBC titleholder, in a unification bout on Sept. 18 at the Park Theater in Las Vegas on a Showtime-televised card.

Undefeated 122-pound world champions will go toe-to-toe as WBC champion Brandon “Heartbreaker” Figueroa and WBO champion Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton Jr. (19-0, 8 KOs) meet in a Showtime televised main event on Saturday, September 18 from Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

With just over two weeks until his highly anticipated super bantamweight unification fight on SHOWTIME, undefeated WBO 122-pound world champion Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton Jr. has relocated to Las Vegas to put the finishing touches on his summer-long training camp. Fulton Jr. will face WBC champion Brandon “Heartbreaker” Figueroa in the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING main event on Saturday, September 18 (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT) in a Premier Boxing Champions event from Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

Brandon Figueroa is one win away from unifying two titles in the 122-pound division. He will have to give up one belt in the moments leading to his physically pursuing that goal. In its continued efforts to consolidate the number of current titlists within its organization, the World Boxing Association (WBA) informed Figueroa (22-0-1, 17KOs) of its intention to strip the unbeaten Texan of the WBA “World” junior featherweight belt heading into his next bout. Figueroa is due to face Philadelphia’s Stephen Fulton (19-0, 8KOs) in a WBC/WBO title unification bout on September 18, live on Showtime from Park MGM in Las Vegas.

The stage is now set as undefeated 122-pound world champions are set to square off when WBC champion Brandon “Heartbreaker” Figueroa and WBO champion Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton Jr. will meet in a title unification.

Stephen Fulton and Brandon Figueroa will have to wait an additional week for their 122-pound title unification fight. BoxingScene.com has learned that Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions and Showtime have agreed to move the telecast topped by the Fulton-Figueroa fight from September 11 to September 18.

Stephen Fulton Jr.’s confidence is climbing through the roof following his unanimous decision win over Angelo Leo earlier this year, a victory that led to the Philadelphia fighter capturing his first world title.
