ARLINGTON, Texas – One of the few flush punches Kieron Conway landed Saturday night wasn’t enough to saddle Souleymane Cissokho with his first defeat. The French fighter withstood a knockdown early in the ninth round and edged Conway by split decision in an otherwise tedious 10-round junior middleweight match on the Canelo Alvarez-Billy Joe Saunders undercard at AT&T Stadium. Judges Don Griffin scored seven rounds for Conway (97-92), but he was overruled by judges David Iacobucci (96-93) and Jesse Reyes (95-94).
ARLINGTON, Texas – Billy Joe Saunders went face to face with Canelo Alvarez on Friday afternoon, a lot closer than the smart southpaw plans to stand Saturday night. Eventually, Alvarez and Saunders were separated at a weigh-in held outside of AT&T Stadium, where their 12-round, 168-pound title unification fight will take place Saturday night.
Kieron Conway is determined to prove he is the best super-welterweight fighter in Britain when he defends his WBA Intercontinental super-welterweight title against Souleymane Cissokho this weekend.

One of the most anticipated fights of 2021 is officially on. Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez and Juan Francisco Estrada made weight Friday afternoon for their 115-pound title unification fight Saturday night in Dallas. Their 12-round rematch for Gonzalez’s WBA and Estrada’s WBC super flyweight titles will headline DAZN’s stream from American Airlines Center (8 p.m. ET).
