New Zealand heavyweight boxing champion Sonny Bill Williams' next fight has been confirmed for Brisbane next month against South African veteran Francois Botha. Fight promoters announced World Cup-winning All Black Williams will fight Botha on November 24. Williams, who is currently playing for Japanese rugby club Panasonic Wild Knights, last fought in February when he scored a TKO victory over American Clarence Tillman III in Hamilton to secure the vacant national belt.

SONNY Bill Williams will get home ground advantage in his fight against Francois ''White Buffalo" Botha if the tournament promoter cannot get local TV coverage. Thinus Strydom, who has clinched the deal for the star All Blacks centre to meet 43-year-old Botha, said he hopes to stage the fight in Durban on November 17. If he cannot get a sponsor to back the tournament, or local television to broadcast it, he will stage it in New Zealand. The 27-year-old Williams holds the New Zealand Boxing Association heavyweight title and is undefeated after five fights. "[Williams] signed a deal with me to fight in South Africa once a year. It's a good deal for all of us," said Strydom. Williams played for the All Blacks against Australia on Saturday in the opening match of the new Four Nations.

All Black Sonny Bill Williams will seek to add a boxing title to his Rugby World Cup winner's medal when he fights for the New Zealand heavyweight belt next year. The former rugby league international will fight 33-year-old Richard Tutaki for the vacant title in Hamilton on February 8. Williams has a clause in his contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union which allows him to continue to compete in the ring. The 26-year-old has had four bouts, winning them all while Tutaki has won 19 of his 41 fights with one draw and 21 losses.
