Future Hall of Fame fighter Shane Mosley surprised many when he announced that he was bringing Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran into his corner for his upcoming title fight against David Avanesyan.

The fight, for the WBA interim welterweight title, takes place May 28th at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. and Mosley hopes that a victory will lead to even bigger fights.

As for working with Duran, Mosley feels that there are a lot of similarities in their styles.

"I want to be the best.  I want to fight until I can't fight no more and I know training with Roberto Duran is another victory for me.  I think it will work out good for me.  He was an inside fighter and I am too.  I can't wait to see what happens when I go to Panama and start training," said Mosley.

Mosley isn't taking Avanesyan lightly.  While the Russia based fighter isn't a household name in America, he is very good fighter and will likely be the betting favorite going into the fight.

"I know he is tough and works hard but I am in good shape and ready to go.  He is very strong and I am going to have use all of my experience and Duran is going to have to give me all of his knowledge to help me win," Mosley stated.

Mosley also revealed that his training camp will begin in Duran's home country of Panama before shifting to The States.

"We will start camp in Panama and then move to Los Angeles," Mosley explained.
