Former three division champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley (49-9-1) returns to the ring on May 28th at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Calif. His opponent is WBA interim welterweight champion David Avanesyan (21-1-1).

While the Russia based Armenian fighter isn't well known in the U.S., Mosley said that he is a very worthy adversary.

"He is a good fighter. He punches hard. He works hard and he has something I want. He has that belt," Mosley said.

The 44-year-old Mosley said that picking up the title is just the next step of his journey to avenge some of his previous losses.

He outlined the unfinished business that he wants to take care of before hanging up his gloved for good.

"Like I said before, I want a Pacquiao rematch. A rematch with Mayweather and a rematch with Cotto. I also want a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. After my fight on May 28th we can get it on," said Mosley.

Mosley lost a close twelve round unanimous decision to Cotto in November of 2007. The Puerto Rican star is looking for an opponent in the fall after failing to secure someone for June. He was decisioned over twelve with Pacquiao on Cinco De Mayo weekend in 2011. Pacquiao announced his retirement earlier this month after winning a twelve round decision in his trilogy bout with Timothy Bradley. Most insiders are expecting Pacquiao to fight again.

Mosley lost a decision to Mayweather in 2010, but the 'Money Man' has been retired since last September. Juan Manuel Marquez is still hanging around, but he's been inactive since a May 2014 win over Mike Alvarado. He wants to return in the fall.
