BoxingScene.com has been advised that Juan Carlos Sanchez did not make weight for tonight's bout with Robert Domingo Sosa at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The IBF super flyweight title is now vacant.

From what BoxingScene understands, Sanchez came in at 116-pounds. He came back an hour later, per the rules of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and weighed in at 115.5-pounds. As far as the NSAC is concerned, Sanchez's official weight is 115.5.

However, the IBF provides a fight with two hours to make the weight for a title fight. Sosa came back after a second hour and made 115.2-pounds. The IBF rounded the number off to 115 and told the fighter he made weight, according to members of Sanchez's team.

This morning, supervisor Aaron Kizer of the IBF ruled that Sanchez did NOT make weight.

As it stands now, only Sosa can walk away with the title. If Sanchez wins, then the title becomes vacant.
