Rylan Charlton: record, next fight and profile →
Rylan Charlton is relishing his drop down in weight to 135lbs and says fans can expect to see the best version of him at his "own weight" when he meets undefeated Tony Bellew-managed southpaw Luke Willis on the huge Smith vs. Fowler card at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Saturday October 9.
SSE Arena, Wembley - Florian Marku climbed off the canvas to stop Rylan Charlton in eight rounds in the evening's chief-support bout. 'The Albanian King' toppled to the canvas in the sixth round, but then forced the stoppage with a ferocious response and called for a future clash with Benn, who was watching from ringside as part of the Sky Sports team.
Florian Marku was forced to climb off the floor, but carried enough power to gun down Rylan Charlton in the eighth of a welterweight ten-rounder at the SSE Arena, Wembley. The Albanian will hope that win was enough to see him get a fight with the likes of Conor Benn, but the 28-year-old looks some way off that for now.
David Avanesyan and Josh Kelly are once again ready to fight. Of course, it still requires both boxers actually making their way to the ring. The pair of welterweights came well within the 147-pound welterweight limit for their 12-round main event, which takes place Saturday live on Sky Sports and DAZN from SSE Arena, Wembley in London, England.
Josh Warrington will defend his IBF featherweight title against Mexico’s Mauricio Lara on February 13, topping the fist of five cards that Matchroom have announced to kick off 2021.
Florian Marku and Rylan Charlton will meet in an explosive Welterweight battle on the undercard of David Avanesyan vs. Josh Kelly on Saturday January 30 at a venue to be confirmed, live on Sky Sports in the UK and on DAZN in the U.S. and more than 200 countries and territories.
Rising stars Pierce O'Leary, Mark McKeown and Hassan Azim have all been added to next month's #MTKFightNight event. The three boxers will be part of the card that takes place on Friday 22 January at Production Park Studios, live in the US on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, and worldwide on IFL TV.
Thomas Patrick Ward lost his 100 percent record but looked luck to escape with a technical draw after his fight with Thomas Essomba on the Matchroom show in Peterborough was stopped in the ninth round after Ward suffered a terrible cut in a head clash.
