The two-time former world champion Orlano “Siri” Salido is getting a lot of support and encouragement from Puerto Rican fans after his draw this past Saturday night with Rocky Martinez in Las Vegas. “My Facebook page and my phone has just been nonstop from Puerto Rican fans since the fight on Saturday. They feel like I did that I won the fight,”, said Salido after getting home last Sunday night.

It was a fight that stole the show on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, when Rocky Martinez and Orlando Salido once again battled tooth-and-nail over twelve hard fought rounds. When it was all said and done, Martinez retained his WBO 130-pound title with a draw. Patricia Morse Jarman had it 115-113 for Martinez, Burt Clement scored it 115-113 in favor of Salido and Glenn Feldman scorecard read 114-114.

By Jake Donovan - Well before he announced the September 12 welterweight championship fight with Andre Berto late in the summer, Floyd Mayweather has insisted this will be the final fight of his career. If so, he goes out on a high note in terms of the end result. Mayweather coasted—literally, at times—to a 12-round decision over Andre Berto in their Showtime Pay-Per-View main event Saturday evening at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Scores were 120-108, 118-110 and 117-111 in favor of Mayweather, whose final performance came in front of an announced crowd of 13,395. It was a far cry from the jam-packed house on hand for his previous appearance, when he and Manny Pacquaio destroyed every financial record in boxing history with their superfight in this very same venue. In terms of action, his 12-round performance versus Berto was similar to the night's work Mayweather turned in versus Pacquiao and just about every other opponent throughout his career—more clinical than entertaining. Mayweather was a massive betting favorite when the fight was first announced, but enough believers (or bettors who simply love to take a risk on a longshot) placed enough action to bring the odds from 33-1 at the start of fight week all the way down to 18-1 by the time the opening bell sounded.

LAS VEGAS, MGM GRAND - In the second of two world title fights on the pay-per-view undercard, Roman "Rocky" Martinez (29-2-3, 17 KOs) retained his WBO Junior Lightweight title with a thrilling 12-round majority draw in a rematch against four-time world champion Orlando "Siri" Salido (42-13-3, 29 KOs). Picking up where they left off when they fought in a Fight of the Year candidate last April, won by Martinez, both fighters exchanged punches for 36 minutes of ferocious action. Each went down in the third round. At the end of a slugfest, in which more than 1,700 punches were thrown, one judge scored it for Martinez (115-113), one had Salido (115-113) in front and the other called it even (114-114).

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Roman "Rocky" Martinez (29-2-3, 17KOs) and Orlando 'Siri' Salido (42-13-3, 29KOs) waged another war for twelve rounds, which ended in a split draw. Martinez retains the WBO super featherweight championship. The scores were 115-113 for Martinez, 115-113 for Salido, 114-114. Martinez won the first bout back in April, and the WBO crown, with a twelve round unanimous decision.
