Former four division world champion Román "Chocolatito" González has arrived back home in his country of Nicaragua after getting a big knockout win in Japan this past Monday against Filipino Diomel Diocos.

Román returned to the ring after 15 months of inactivity and what better way to do it than on Japanese soil where Román fought after being away for five years due to his time in the United States. The native of Esperanza in Managua , was received by Moris Ortega , relatives, colleagues of the Sandinista Youth and the media.

Román, who arrived with and his agent Carlos Blandón and his father, talked with the media about a possible return to the ring in February or March 2020, but said his next fight will be for the world title:

"We have plans to make a press conference in Nicaragua before going to camp, my next fight will be for the world title and I will be running this morning," said the boxer.

The boxer spent three months in a camp in California led by his head coach Marcos Caballero, and now the boxer announced that he will be only spend three months in the country and will return to Coachella to continue his preparation for the next fight which is being positioned to take place in the early months of 2020.

"Possible fighters I could face are Kazuto Ioka, Khalid Yafai and Juan Francisco" El Gallo "Estrada, but I want to be champion again and then unify titles with the Estrada because good purses would come for such fights," said Gonzalez.

The Nicaraguan fighter improved his record to 48 wins and two defeats in the professional ranks. He returned to the land of the rising sun for the first time since November 2014 when he beat Rocky Fuentes by way of knockout.
