This coming Saturday night in Nicaragua, three division world champion  Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (41-0, 35 KO´s) will face Mexican Valentin “Picoco” Leon of Mexico. The two boxers had their first face to face earlier today in a Nicaraguan Hote. The fight takes at the Port Salvador Allende.

Leon, who arrived this Tuesday along with his wife and son, is honored to have the opportunity of fighting the WBC flyweight  world champion. The fight is non-title affair taking place at the super flyweight limit.

According to Gonzalez's manager, Carlos Blandon, a victory will catapult Gonzalez to an HBO televised appearance against the winner of the final eliminator between Nawaphon Sor Rungvisai of Thailand and former Mexican world champion Edgar Sosa, which takes place next month.

"Roman will fight in May on a card that will be televised on HBO, which is very important. That will give you the opportunity to see how much of the public Roman can attract," said Blandon, who denied reports that Gonzalez might face Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada on the Mayweather-Pacquiao undercard.

"The fact that Roman will fight on HBO it will catapult him. Since last year we have been working on these negotiations, Román's popularity has grown. Now we have to think about Saturday's fight, then comes the defense of title and then wait to see if we can do a fight against Japanese Naoya Inoue for a fourth crown."
