WBA Light Flyweight champion Roman “El Chocolatito” Gonzalez was added as the co-main event to the November 17th card where champions Brian Viloria and Hernan “Tyson” Marquez are set to square off in the main event.

Gonzalez was on hand at the press conference to announce the November 17th bill and he and his team wasted no time in letting everyone know they want a crack at the winner of the main event. His manager Silvio Conrado even predicted how it would end.

“We would give a clear dominant victory and he would win by knockout against either” declared Conrado.

Gonzalez is currently still fighting at 108 pounds for his upcoming fight but he informed BoxingScene that he is ready to take on a big fight and move up in weight in the process.

“After this fight we will fight either Tyson Marquez or [Brian] Viloria. We hope after this fight we can have that fight in the upcoming year. [I want] just two more title defenses at 108 and I want to go to 112 pounds and start looking for a third title” revealed the Nicaragua native.

Most of the action is at the Flyweight division where names such as Viloria, Marquez and even Giovanni Segura reside at. Gonzalez admits there isn’t much left for him at his current division which is why he is targeting a change.

“The truth it’s just my time. I’m 25 years old and we think at 112 pounds there are bigger purses than 108. And to top it off, nobody at 108 pounds want to fight me so we know it’s time for me to move to 112” Gonzalez would tell BoxingScene.

Both Viloria and Marquez took turns letting Gonzalez know his time would come when they spoke to the media on the podium during the press conference. If all goes well, we should be treated to yet another significant fight in the Flyweight division next year.
