Trainer Freddie Roach expects to be in the corner working a high profile fight on the night of May 2, 2015. Given that he's the trainer for both Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, the odds are he will be directly involved in one of the biggest events of the upcoming year.

There is a lot of conjecture about Pacquiao finally facing Floyd Mayweather and Cotto taking on Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in the upcoming year on that coveted pay-per-view date.

So which will it be?

"I don't know, yet," admitted Roach during a conversation with BoxingScene.com on Friday afternoon at the Wild Card Boxing Club. "I was hoping for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight to come along and it's not there, yet. And then Miguel Cotto, obviously, was mentioned and that's not quite there yet, either. So I really don't know what it's going to take to get Mayweather to the table. I mean he doesn't want Bob Arum involved, Buboy (Fernandez) can't work the corner, I mean, this guy thinks he runs the f***n' show."

Roach is kidding about the Buboy ban (we think), but he continued:

"Geez, gimme a f***in' break. We're doing everything possible to make this fight happen on our side and that's all we can do."

When asked he was still optimistic that Pacquiao-Mayweather would ever take place, Roach stated:

"It's getting out there, again, there's an audience out there and everybody is getting interested again because Mayweather came out and finally said something back to us. So now all he has to do is sign the contract."
