Trainer Freddie Roach is more confident than ever, that WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will score a knockout win over Floyd Mayweather Jr., who holds the WBC/WBA welterweight titles.

Pacquiao dominated previously undefeated Chris Algieri, who holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight title, last Saturday night at the Cotai Arena inside The Venetian Macau. Algieri went down six times in the contest.

If Pacquiao puts in the same kind of performance, like he did last Saturday, Roach believes it is good enough to beat Mayweather.

"Yes, Pacquiao will beat Floyd with his performance against Algieri. You know,Floyd about two years ago, I thought it’s about even. Now I think Manny will knock him out.  Floyd can’t run like he used to. He can’t move, his legs are shot, he’s a washed up, old fighter. We’ll knock out Floyd,” Roach told reporters following the match. "Manny did well and hopefully the Mayweather fight happens. And I look forward at getting him ready for that."

Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, is doing his best to get a deal done for Mayweather. Arum is speaking with Les Moonves, the CEO of CBS.
